Microplane tackled the need for a better ricing tool for carb-conscious eating trends with the launch of this new food prep tool which uses the commonly suggested grater type that is ideal for "ricing" vegetables with low water content - such as cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, and jicama. The extra coarse blade style is designed to grate root vegetables, creating results that are the identical size and shape as pre-riced vegetables bought from a store. The clever design of the mixing bowl grater is optimized to fit any size mixing bowl - it will fit directly over the top of small bowls, simply drop inside medium bowls, and rest at an angle inside large bowls.
